Founder/Director:
Leila Mahfud was born and
raised in Santa Catarina, South of Brazil. She has a degree in Tourism and
Hotel managment at Univali, one of the most respectful universities in South
Brazil. She began her career in the travel industry in 1991 and learned the
business by working at a travel agency in Balneário Camboriú and guiding for
various travel companies in South Brazil. Leila lived for about 2 years in
London, England and also traveled and lived in United States for about 6 years
where she could perfect her English. Leila studied at the World School of
Massage and Advanced Healing Arts, while living in San Francisco, California, where
she could get the Advanced Holistic Therapist certification. She worked in some
day spas in San Francisco and Hawaii, since then she kept improving her
therapeutic skills throught several courses in Brazil. She has developed a career
as Holistic therapist and hypnotherapist. She followed her passion for nature
and outdoor activities by traveling and living in different places, always
chosing for the best ones. Currently living in Penha(South Brazil) with her
husband and a family of 8 dogs, 3 cats and one rabbit, she works as a Holistic Therapist and using her
years of experience, Leila then developed her own company to offer first-class
brazilian experiences for travelers by assembling the team of like-minded
professionals who now comprise Lotus Yantra.

Yve Moraes was born and raised in Rio de
Janeiro, she lives in Angra dos Reis with her two children where she loves to
live in harmony with nature. She believes that we are all part of nature and
that we are all intrinsically connected to everything. Yve is a holistic
massage therapist and she worked at some Spas in Rio de Janeiro and Paraty, she
also ran a boutique hotel in Angra dos Reis where she gained a true
understanding of tourism and adventure travel in Brazil.
Yve manages all of our
guides and hotels in Rio de Janeiro.
